The Seward Co-op is heavily involved in the community and most employees and customers live close to the store. They wanted to encourage more sustainable transportation alternatives and in 2010 installed a Zap system.
We have integrated ZAP with our POS software so our customers' ZAP points automatically appear on their receipts.
Eric Hatting
Seward Community Co-op
The Seward Co-op is a popular urban grocery store committed to providing healthy, sustainably produced food. They integrated the Zap system with their point of sale software so when customers bike to the co-op and buy something, they get a Zap point that prints directly on the customers receipt. It is completely automated.
They also use the Zap system as a way to encourage employees to bike to work. Employees who bike on a regular basis are rewarded with bicycle related equipment. One of the positive effects is that anytime of year, the bike racks are full. Parking is extremely limited in this location and the bikes help mitigate parking issues.
